i have a hikashop site. ssl and dedicated ip. and a firewall, but it got hacked into.

im rebuilding my site now, and im wondering what info is leaked, and what needs to be reset?

im obviously building my site with new access passcodes etc, but what about Authorize.net account numbers and paypal stuff. i had one transaction happen via cc while site was online and hacked - was that cc number stolen? or does the ssl protect that.

hm, any input? thanks in advance....

Hi,

The CC info goes into the temporary memory of HikaShop before being sent to Authorize.net if you use the AIM API. So in that case it would be technically possible to steal it for a hacker. But it is never stored in the database nor in the files of the website, so if he only did a dump of the files or database he won't have it. It's actually quite technical to retrieve it but not impossible.
If you use Authorize.net with the SIM API there is no risk on that end. Nor with PayPal.

Regarding Authorize.net you should change your MD5 hash and see with them if you can change your transaction key in case it was stolen. PayPal is fine on that end too.
