New Order email sent to user, not admin

Hi,

(Hika Essential, Joomla 1.5.2)

For some reason the New Order notification email is sent to the user who is logged in and placing the order, and not the admin. I've checked the email settings several times and it definitely has the admin's address in the Order creation notifications email address and Payment notifications email address.

I also tested it with different users/emails and the same thing happens.

How to fix??

Hi,

Do you use the latest version of HikaShop ?

I remember that at one point we fixed such issue which, if I remember correctly, was happening on PHP4. So If you don't have the latest version, please update and try again.

I only bought Essentials on 24 Feb '11. I checked my hosting site, and it looks like it was running php4. Changed it to php5, will test again and report.

Changing the server from PHP4 to PHP5 fixed the problem.

Yes, the release which fixes the problem was provided on the 26th of February.

ok, updated Hikashop to 1.4.7 as well.

There is no notification system for updates yet. We send a newsletter every few months, to talk about the news in HikaShop. We would also send one for security issues.
However, if you have a bug, the first thing to look at is the update/about us menu.
If you have an update available, you will see the changelog displayed and you can check if the bug you have is mentioned.
