Hi Paul,

HikaShop images (and thumbnails) are stored by default in the directory : "media/com_hikashop/upload/"
In the database, products images are stored in the table "hikashop_file". You will found the "file_path" with the path.

So I recommand you to check this directory and check the database too.

Jerome

Look at the "Files" tab in the configuration (System => Configuration).
There is an "Upload folder" option. When an image is uploaded and attached to a product, this directory is used.
By default it is "media/com_hikashop/upload" but it could be changed.

Hope it will help.

I have found this as you said but it would appear to be there, But I have also got another directory media/com_hikashop/upload/safe/logs/report_730294748.log is this also suppose to be there . And how do i change it back. All my thumbnails and images with joomla are also gone, not just in hikashop. I have done something silly but dont know what .

Please help

You should check your media/com_hikashop/upload folder. There, you should have all your images. If you don't see them, it means that they where either moved or deleted.
Otherwise, it might be because of the access rights of the images which were changed and in that case you should change them back to what they were before.

same thing has happened to me!! After a full two weeks work offline I uploaded the site to a live server and now 50-60% of product images are showing as the default image. The client is annoyed and I am pulling my hair out.

All of the images are in the correct folder media.com_hikashop/upload/ and all images have the same permissions 0644. So why some show up and others don't I do not know.

Any ideas without having to reupload over 200 images??

Thanks

Make sure that the thumbnails of the images and the thumbnails folders have the correct permissions in the folder media/com_hikashop/upload/
Other than that I don't know really.
If you used akeeba backup to backup your local website and restore it on your online website, you should not have any problem

I always use Akeeba backup and have never had problems like this. I even checked the entry in the database and the file name matched up with the item in the upload folder and the file name in the product page itself, but it still loaded the default image. So i ended up staying up until the early hours reuploading the same images to the same folder, and touchwood they are still there

Maybe it's because you set an upload folder which is not the same in your local server and your new server ?

Anyway, it's seems that you are all set now.
