I'm having the same issue with the USPS plugin, and I too had to turn it off temporarily until we can figure this out. Can someone please tell me where i need to go within the plugin to fix (step by step as I'm kinda new to this). Thank you !

@SpectacularToys, Hikashop has fixed this. Replace usps.php on your server with the file attached to this posting:

I expect the corrected usps.php file will be incorporated in Hikashop's next update.

I did put that usps code in for a temporary fix until an update, and the USPS plugin works, but now the UPS plugin doesn't work. This is what I get for UPS:

Fatal error: Call to a member function display() on a non-object in /home/content/88/11262388/html/spectaculartoys.net/plugins/hikashopshipping/ups_configuration.php on line 35

What can I do to fix this? Did anyone else have this issue after fixing the USPS plugin. I use both UPS and USPS for my business? Please advise.

This fix does not work for me. Still getting the timeout. Even trying to add to cart kills it now. Turning off the plugin allows the site to function but it's not desirable.

Fedex is functioning to a point. I added an extra service - FEDEX Ground - but it doesn't show up. Trying on a CA to CA mailing so it should show.

The changes made yesterday are still working today for me. They should only have been to the USPS.php file, that would have no affect on UPS.php - unless someone gets confused and edits the wrong file. It's easy to do because there is only one letter different in the names.

I'm just a user like the rest of you who happened to do some testing for Jerome from Hikashop. I hope you get it all sorted out.

I'm happy for everyone else, but still frustrating here.

The client only uses 2 flat rate boxes from USPS, so he doesn't need the whizz-bang functionality of the plugin. If I can just set up 2 manual box rates - small @ $10, and medium @ $20. I can tie these to product sizes and weights, so I just want to know how to set up the 2 manual weights and have HS drop in whichever one applies.

EDIT: Old adage: if in doubt read the instructions..... DUMMY!! Hehehehe... just been reading the manual shipping plugin dox.....

One thing I didn't get it to do was to add postage for each one of the products (that is, 2 products of the same type = 2x postage). I saw the "per product" setting but that didn't work as expected.

I can't even get into the UPS from the backend, when I click on the UPS plugin it throws up a UPS fatal error code when trying to open the plugin. Is it possible that the programmer changed the wrong code if it's doing this? Should it be reinstalled or can I get the UPS code so that we can see if it was changed by accident and then I can just copy and paste. I'm new to this so can you also please tell me how I get into the UPS plugin to check it. I'm so sorry to bug you about this, I just need this fixed as soon as possible and I want to be sure it gets done right. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I did go on the hikashop ups plugin from plugin manager, under the order section, the hikashop USPS shipping plugin is listed. The drop down bar shows the ups shipping plugin, but It will not allow me to choose the UPS shipping plugin. When I try to apply the UPS shipping plugin, it goes back to the usps shipping plugin. It's not allowing me to save it. Does this mean the UPS coding was accidentally changed to usps coding?

I don't know what drop down bar you are referring to. If you go to Shipping Methods, you should see UPS listed. If not, click on the Help icon to the top and right of your screen - Hikashop has some of the better help screens I've seen. Just add UPS as a method and publish it.

@trogladyte, same for you. Go to Shipping methods and add a manual shipping method. Again, Hikashop has good descriptions in their help screens and there is a lot of discussion about setting up manual shipping methods in the forums here.

I'm sorry, I may have made it confusing. Let me relist my issue. There are 2 areas where you can view the Hikashop UPS Shipping Plugin. One section it's under is: Extensions -> plugin manager -> Hikashop UPS Shipping Plugin, and the other section it's under is: Components -> Hikashop -> Configuration -> System -> Shipping Methods -> . So I'll explain my problem below.

1st Issue:
So, the drop down I'm talking about in under Extensions -> plugin manager -> Hikashop UPS Shipping Plugin -> when I click on the Hikashop Shipping Plugin, it brings me to a page where it list Details and Parameters for UPS shipping Plugin. On that page where it states Details, in that box section it lists: Name, Enabled, Type, Plugin File, Access Level, Order, Description. Under the Order, there is a drop down for choices and the USPS shipping plugin is chosen (shouldn't it be the UPS shipping plugin). So when I use the drop down in that section and choose the UPS shipping plugin and try to apply and save it, it reverts back to the USPS shipping plugin. It does not allow me to save the Hikashop UPS Shipping plugin in that section.

2nd Issue:
When I go into Components -> Hikashop -> Configuration -> System -> Shipping Methods -> I click on the shipping methods, and a page is brought up for shipping methods such as fedex, ups, usps, etc. The Hikashop UPS shipping plugin under this section is already published (I have it published), however when I click on the UPS Shipping Plugin link to try and pull up that page, I get this error message:

The Hikashop UPS Shipping was working until my programmer entered the temporary usps shipping plugin code to get the usps to work. Now the USPS shipping plugin is working, but my UPS shipping plugin is not working after my programmer entered the temporary usps code so it would work.

So my original question is due to the issues in those two sections I listed above, is it possible that my programmer accidentally changed the coding in the Hikashop UPS Shipping plugin? If so, how can I fix it? Do I need to reinstall the UPS Shipping Plugin or can someone give me the correct code and my programmer can copy and paste it where it needs to go. If someone tells me exactly where I need to go to fix this, I can do it, but I need step by step guidance

1st Issue:
You are in the wrong place. The drop down is to change the ordering of how plugins are list. This is totally irrelevant to your problem. You need not be here.

2nd Issue:
It sounds like something with your UPS configuration is corrupted. My suggestion is that you try to unpublish the UPS method and delete it.
Then click on "New" and start over adding a UPS shipping method. You'll need all your UPS account information available to enter in again.

Thank you so much for replying to my issues so fast, I really appreciate it. I finally got in touch with my programmer moments ago and mentioned to him the possible reasons on why the UPS plugin was not working, and what needed to be done to correct the issue. He now believes it's possible he may have accidentally changed the UPS coding when updating the USPS coding, as he said he did have both of them open at the same time. I now will just have to sit back and wait til he can fix it because I'm not sure how to do it myself, and don't want to mess anything up.
