Setting up the tax rate

How do I get the Default tax category to be set to an amount ?

I have a ITBMS 7% rate set up but for the life of me cannot link this to the Default tax category

Hi Nicolas,

I have now set up:

Zone Product tax category Rate Customer type Published ID

Panamá Panama Default tax category 0%

I also have:

Tax namekey Rate

ITBMS 7%

The documentation refers to using rules setup to associate the tax category with the rate but I cannot see the rules option.

How do I link the 2 items together?

If you have correctly set your tax/tax category, did you set a correct "Product tax category" through your products configuration page ?

I attach 4 files

1. The tax category screen - as you can see the tax rate value is 0% . How do I change this?

2. Manage category screen - I see no way of adding a rate to a category

3. The manage rates - with one rate of ITBMS set up

4. The Product management screen - Which tax category do I select - at the moment I have two options
- Panama Default Tax Category
- ITBMS

to work with the tax configurations set up?
