Taxes not working

-- HikaShop version -- : 2.4.0
-- Joomla version -- : 3.4.0
-- PHP version -- : 5.4.35
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : Chrome

I want to apply two types of taxes TPS and TVQ @ 5% and 9.975 % respectively regardless of zones, addresses or anything else. could you please help.
I spent two days trying to figure out how to apply taxes and it is still not working.

Hi,

Please re-download HIkaShop 2.4.0 and then, re-set the setting "main tax zone" and save your HikaShop configuration.

Go in the HikaShop configuration, make sure that the correct value is entered in the "main tax zone" option and click on the "save" button at the top. Note that you'll also have to clear your user session in order to see the change (open the website with another browser for example).
