-- url of the page with the problem -- : concretebenchmolds.com/buy-now/checkout.html
-- HikaShop version -- : 2.4.0
-- Joomla version -- : 2.5.9
-- PHP version -- : 5.4.40

Hi,
A customer recently brought to my attention that the tax (that should only apply to customers in MA) is appearing on the product page. I don't want the tax to be shown until the checkout process and the customer inputs his address. This is a new problem as everything had been working correctly before. I updated my version of HikaShop, but the error persists. I went back to look at my tax settings, and everything appears the way I want it.
Once a person checks out (if he is outside of MA), the tax disappears and charges them correctly. However, since only people in one state are required to pay tax, I don't want the tax showing on the product page, since it confuses people and makes it looks as though they will have to pay tax. I have included screenshots of my tax settings below. Also, I have the detailed tax description set to "yes" at the moment, but it makes no difference if I set it to "no."
Thanks for your help.

Hi,

I don't see what you're talking about. The price displays without tax on your product page for me:

Hi, sorry, I wasn't very clear. If you add an item to the cart, it takes you to a registration page. Here the tax is shown before the customer inputs his address. (See screen shot in orinal post.) The tax is only applicable to buyers in MA, and it should only be shown if the buyer inputs an address in MA. As it is, the tax is appearing as a default and making it look as though the product is more expensive than it is. I keep getting emails from customers that are confused by this.

Hi,

Simply change the "main tax zone" setting of the HikaShop configuration to something else than MA then.
