-- url of the page with the problem -- : sean.freesite.host
-- HikaShop version -- : 2.4.0
-- Joomla version -- : 3.4.1
-- PHP version -- : 5.6.2
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : not browser dependant
-- Error-message(debug-mod must be tuned on) -- : Not seeing an error message. Just unable to figure out how to change the "Manage Tax Rates" option to use USD instead of AUD.

I keep trying to change add some tax rates in manage tax rates button but by default it seems to only want USD.

sean.freesite.host/administrator/index.p...=tax&return=taxation

There are column in this section that do not exist in my other HikaShop site. I would be grateful to learn how to turn my these tax rates to US dollars!

OK. I did find it after all in the Configuration settings.

However, I am still puzzling over one more thing which is trying to figure out why my Manage Rates screen has four columns on this site that I do not have on my other site. The columns are:
Amount (USD)
Tax (USD)
Amount (EUR)
Tax (EUR)

I should not have any (EUR) tax rate and on my other site none of these four columns exist.

The prices on my main pages say
$23.00 ($23.00 excl VAT) each

Of course there should be no VAT.

Hi,

The columns on the tax rates listing are there because the currencies are enabled in the menu System>Currencies.
You can disable the EUR currency and the column will be removed.

For the prices, if you want to have them displayed without taxes, you can turn off the "show taxed prices" option of the Hikashop configuration page.

Hello Nicolas,

That does seem very odd to me because I have disabled the Euro. In fact the only currency that I have displayed and published is United States dollar.

I would love to give you backend access to look. How do I do that here?

BTW, I just replicated the site to www.VeggieVore.com and will work on this site from there from this point forward.

Hi,

Then it would mean that you already have orders placed on your website with the EUR currency and in that case, the system will display the EUR column so that these EUR orders can be taken into account.
If these were fake orders, then just delete them and that's it.

Thank you. That was the answer. Actually my host created a QuickStart of their HikaShop template and these transactions were in the QuickStart. I deleted them and now those columns disappeared as desired in the "Manage rates" area.

I still have VAT displaying on the prices pages:
www.veggievore.com/dvd/product/127-why-we-do-what-we-do

$23.00 ($23.00 excl VAT) each

Hi,

Go in the HikaShop configuration and turn off the "show taxed prices" setting as I already said previously.

Ah interesting. I had thought I would like to see the taxes but will turn their display off as you suggest.

I do wonder why the taxes that are displaying are not USA taxes? That is what made me question.

Thank you again!

Hi,

The "excl. VAT" text comes from the en-GB translation file of HikaShop since in the UK it's called VAT.
In the en-US translation file, it is "excl. taxes". So I suppose that you're using the wrong Joomla language file on your website.
But anyway, you can easily change that text with a translation override:
hikashop.com/download/languages.html#modify
