As far as we know, it works the same in all of them.
Joomla 1.6 and 1.7 are already not supported anymore by Joomla.
Joomla 1.5's support will end in a few months.
If you want to do a new website, you should start with Joomla 2.5. That will avoid you any painful migration of Joomla and the extensions you will have on it (even though it's not much of a problem for HikaShop as we support all the versions).

Hi Nicolas,
thanks for the response.

i posted this question, because my main concern is integration and plugins.
For example Lof SlideShow (by landofcoder) for hikashop officially doesn't list joomla 2.5. so i am not sure will it work with hikashop+joomla 2.5? will it?

If land of coder says that their module only works on Joomla 1.5 then it probably doesn't work on 2.5.

The best is to ask them, not us.

As far as HikaShop is concerned, Joomla 1.5 or 2.5, it works the same.

Sure but we can't answer what we don't know so please ask them if you want to know if they support Joomla 2.5
