Adapting Hikashop as an Itinerary Manager

Hi

I have a client who manages tour bookings - with no e-commerce. Their need is for visitors to their site to be able to assemble a basket of items/establishments they want to visit or book at.

At present, each enquiry about a specific establishment generates a separate email!

So what I essentially need is a basket of items with no charges. To work effectively, I'll probably need a premium version for the extra fields.

I'm a total newbie with Hikashop and this is my first time exploring it. I'd really appreciate any suggestions.

Thanks
Carl

Hi Carl,

I think that you can start by :

- Creating free products for each items/establishments through "Hikashop->Product"
- Setting the "Display 'add to cart' button for free products" option to YES through "Hikashop->System->Configuration->Display"
- Enable the "Hikashop Cart module" through "Hikashop->Display->Content modules"

Hope this will help you.
