Blank votes

Hi again
I'm getting blank votes in the votes section and I can't get rid of them, delete doesn't work on them.
Seems to me that there is one added each day or perhaps every other day for some unknown reason.
Votes in itself works perfectly.

Are you getting any error message when you try to delete them ? Can you try it with the Joomla debug mode put ON ?

Deleting when Debug is off or on doesn't matter. No error message, nothing.
Another thing, debugging is only visible in frontend, right?

No, I think that it's also visible in the back-end, can you send me a temporary back-end access for testing purpose through a private message ? Also, are you using the last version of Hikashop ?

How did you created these empty votes? Since it's not attached to any product the delete function is having a hard time.
I would advise to delete those entries trough the database while we are look for a solution.

I didn't create them myself. I have no idea how they got there.
Where can I find them in the DB?

You'll find them in the table namekey_hikashop_vote.

I have exactly the same problem.

Empty votes, and I do not know where they come from. When you choose them and try to delete, nothing happens.

I have noticed, that the date for all empty votes is 01/01/1970 01:01:00.

Actually we can't determine from where the problem come.
Thanks to give us more details about your configuration, are you using crons tasks ? Or something else ?
We change some parts of the vote system, it will be available in the next release, it could maybe solve the problem.

I Actually tink I know why, this happens now....

This never happened before, when everybody was allowed to vote for the product. But after I set the rule to, user must be loged in to vote, this is happening. I think it happens when some one tries to vote and is not logged in, then the system creates an empty vote....

Not for me, just tried it and it didn't let me vote but also didn't give me a blank vote in the backend. Has to be something else, atleast for me.

It says I have the latest one, 2.1.3, isn't it released yet?

We didn't activated the update system yet.

Seems to me that it's enough to be able to point and click at a star.

Ok, now I have the rownumbers but the edit window is soooo small, it's less than half the size of the displaypopup.

I don't see any Javascript error on your website.
Usually the vote script add a display none on the class.

You can add the following css property to hide the dropdown:

.hikashop_vote_stars .chzn-container{display: none !important;}
