The HikaShop 4 series is back with the 4.0.1 and the 4.0.2 ! Thanks to your returns, we were able to improve HikaShop.
let's take a look at what has been improved with the new releases and what's new.
With HikaShop 4.0.1 and 4.0.2, you will enjoy especially 3 new features :
HikaShop is now compatible with Joomla 4 Alpha 5. Like our previous news about HikaShop 4, it's still too early to advise you to use Joomla 4 for a production website as there are still many things that will change for the final release.
Our goal, with that early compatibility is to smoothly follow Joomla's evolutionso that the day Joomla 4 will be ready, we will be as well. That way, no fears for you when you'll update your Joomla in the future, at least not for HikaShop !
With the HikaShop 4.0.1 release, now when a customer is on the registration form and uncheck the "Same address for shipping" checkbox, a new address form will be displayed just below for the shipping address instead of having to validate first the registration to be able to enter the shipping address. we hope this will help people have a smoother checkout experience with HikaShop.
Along with this, you will now find the new option "Same address checkbox pre-checked" setting of the HikaShop configuration in order to choose if you want have the "Same address for shipping" pre-checked or not.
Finally, with HikaShop 4.0.2, we've added the support of the privacy consent plugin of Jooomla so that if activated, the checkout registration form will display the yes/no radio area from the privacy consent plugin so that the customer can give his consent during the registration process.
It's now possible to set negative prices for the shipping per product feature. That way, you can even reduce the shipping fee or have a negative shipping fee on your cart if you need to be able to do that.
