Second 2023 release for HikaShop with the 4.7.2. This last iteration will not remain as the most novelty-packed release we made, but the new features are not necessarily uninteresting.
This 4.7.2 will provide several features around your order management.
Let's look at some of the new features this version has to offer.
In the order management, it was possible to change the user to another user already registered on the website, or who had already placed an order as a guest. However, it was not possible to change the user to a new guest user.
This is now possible. When you click on the "New guest" button of an order, a new popup will allow you to enter the email address for a new guest user and have it linked to the current order automatically.
We have add a new information on the order details page and the orders listing in the backend : the number of products that the order contains. And on the listing, when you hover on it, you get a tooltip with the products in the order and their quantity.

For a long time, we wanted to add more information about the orders on the orders listing. However, due the limited width available on screens, we couldn't.
The new columns system added with the 4.7.1 allows us to do that while keeping the extra columns not displayed by default. That way, we can add new columns without having too many columns displayed for smal screen sizes.
With this release, we added 6 new columns that you can choose to display or not on the listing of orders:
- Shipping Address
- Billing Address
- Shipping Method
- Coupon
- Coupon Value
- Tax Rate
As usual, there is a lot more to discover about HikaShop 4.7.2 with bug fixes but also many smaller improvements and other features. You will find all these elements detailed in our change log.
