All shop buttons stopped working

I've been fixing problems and removing product errors etc. all day. Now those seem to be fine, but in the meantime, all the buttons related to the shop (add to cart, proceed to checkout, etc.) seem to have stopped working and simply return you to our home page.

Any clues what could be happening? I've cleaned out all my caches (local and server-side), tried different browsers, restarted my computer, but still no dice.

Client would like to launch tomorrow so I would appreciate a speedy reply with any ideas about how to troubleshoot, thanks!

Your description is too vague so I can't answer. We would have to check the buttons directly on your website to say what's going on.

Have you been able to have a look? I assume the login is working (it worked for me).

This problem is still continuing and I haven't got a clue what could be the cause.

My client is at a trade fair now and is just waiting for this and one other detail to make the site public, he's anxious to go so I would appreciate any help you can give. Thank you very very much!

I just checked.
Your problem is that you have javascript errors on your pages because of the module mod_ppc_simple_spotlight which uses jquery and creates a conflict with mootools:

You should first try the jquery easy plugin as recommended in the documentation.

I installed that module (simple spotlight) perhaps a year ago and it never had this effect until now. I disabled the module but the problem still persisted.

I cannot find jquery easy on joomla.org -- does it still exist?

A "hired gun" helped me find the problem as I'm in a rush.

The problem with the "Add to cart" button was solved with changing the parameter:

HS Configuration > System > Checkout > Use AJAX when possible for add to cart buttons > Set to "NO"

Now all seems to be well, thanks for the effort.
