I hope you are doing great! You have been very helpful in the past and I hope you can help me one more time, cause I am really lost with the alpha user points system. Here is the deal (I am using Joomla 3x and the Business Hikashop Extension):
I have a category of products with the following stracture:
Category A
- Product b
-- Product b has a set of characteristics that are effecting the price (2 different prices - Let's call them A.b.a, A.b.b)
- Product c
-- Product c has a set of characteristics that are effecting the price (4 different prices - Let's call them A.c.a, A.c.b, A.c.c, A.c.d)
When a user purchases one of the above products, I need to assign points to his account (after the order confirmation), as many as the price of the product he purchased. Later, he can use these points to pay for products on other categories.
Which are the steps I need to follow in order to set up this?
Another issue I am having is with adding a user to a specific user group after purchasing. By using the stracture above, I need to have a similar user structure:
- User group A.b.a
- User group A.b.b
- User group A.c.a
... and so on, so according to his purchase he must be included to the associated user group. Is this something do-able while I am using charachteristics on products or do I have to set up different products for each case of charteristic?
I think that the answers to the above questions effect one another, cause I can see that it's possible to assign points to a user group, but I am not sure what is the best to do here or how do I set this up and I am also referring to the order of the steps I need to make. I hope you can clarify this to me.
