Paypal Currency doesn't match Store currency

I'm currently upgrading a client's website from Joomla 1.5 to 2.5. I've imported everything and adjusted the settings to reflect the old store's configuration but I can't figure out one issue. In the old store, when you choose a currency (Eg. CAD) and submit your order to Paypal for payment, Paypal operates in the same currency (CAD). In the new store, if you choose CAD for your order and submit it for payment, Paypal changes the currency to USD.

Make sure that in the System->Currencies, the CAD currency is published.

Yes, of course that currency is published, otherwise they wouldn't be able to use it in the store. The problem is when they confirm their order in CAD and it moves to Paypal to receive payment, the currency changes to USD.

That's not correct. As long as the currency has its "displayed" activated, even if "published" is deactivated, the currency can be used in the store. However, in that case, during the checkout, the currency cannot be used and it switch back automatically to the main currency of the configuration.
Which is why I asked you to check as it could come from that. I actually don't see any other reason why this would happen.

Thanks for your reply. So what do I do now? Is this a bug? Is this where I go to get commercial support for the extension as I just purchased it?

Incidentally, it seems to be working now. I'm not sure what I did, but it's not a problem any more. Thanks for your help.

Hi,

I think you have save your configuration which has re-store the right value of the currency in your database.
I guess that one wrong currency was saved and, because the currency was unpublished, you saw the CAD in the dropdown.

Good news that your problem is solved :)
