Filling your box

Hello,

So here's a challenge and before I embark on it I am wondering if it is even possible. I've read the documentation and have found Hika Shop very friendly to use.

But here's the challenge. The client sells postcards of her paintings. Paintings are already for sale in Hika Shop although some of the cards show paintings that are no longer available having been sold. The cards are sold 12 to a box for $36 a box. Now we could just create a product called a box and fill them with twelve random cards, but how cool would it be if customers could browse all the cards and add the 12 they wanted to their box and then check out. They could be twelve of the same or 12 different ones or as they say, "six of one and half dozen of the other". Is this even possible?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

It should be possible.
You should use shipping methods with weight/volume restrictions to segregate between postcards and paintings (suppose that you have a characteristic for each product with two values to select between the painting and the card, and that in each you set specific weight/dimensions to be able to differentiate between them with the shipping restrictions). And then for the shipping methods for post cards, you could also use restrictions to forbid quantities outside 12 multiples.
