Firstly I would like to say that I have recently been using Hikashop and I'm quite impressed with the features even with the free version. Very nice work folks.

While messing around with Hikashop and the Akeeba Subscriptions component and plugin integration for Hikashop, I have discovered that when a subscription has been set up there is a feature missing that we need to have added which is the ability to allow payments with points with Alphauserpoints. Although subscription works, if a payment method of points is applied to a product before a subscription payment method is given, the Alphauserpoints payment method is available, however once we apply the subscription recurring payment method, it disables the point payment method.

Is it possible that another secondary feature could be added so that when a payment method is selected to be subscription recurring, that the shop manager could also select a secondary recurring payment method such as Alphauserpoints? The way I was thinking it would be nice to have such a feature is that if a client chose to pay for a month within their subscription that it would just pay for it in points and their subscription be renewed for the next month (or whatever period the shop manager sets). It may need to have some sort of additional feature to allow the client select which method they would like to pay the subscription recurring payment with allowing them to switch from recurring with paypal or points payments.

It would also be nice to have the single paypal payment option available too and not be disabled so perhaps a 3 payment option method would be nice for those who want to pay for the product for one or several months with one payment.

Is it possible such a feature could be added to the plugin to integrate Alphauserpoints as a secondary recurring payment method? Anyone else interested in such a feature? Please leave feedback and improvements on this idea if you have something to contribute.

Hi,

Actually you are the first person who need that functionality. So I will add that in our TODO list but we already have a lot of development.
We can't give you a date.

For the single paypal payment option, if you don't set the subscription as recurrent, so the single paypal payment method is available. And the customer can pay the product for one or several months with one payment.

Woops I might have hit report or something I'm not sure. English is my language and the forum is in other, heh. Anyway yeah that's fine about the addition of the points feature. Of course these things take time.

As for the payment options with paypal, I did find that if subscription is disabled the single payment feature comes available again, but I thought having the ability to offer the disabled payment methods would be nice too so the client could pay for their product in a lump sum, regularly or with the points or paypal single payment. The reason for wanting the recurring and single payment alongside is to allow full payment of a product or service for say a year, two years, etc. in one payment. So, an enable or disable feature to allow default payment methods for Hikashop and Akeeba Subscriptions would be useful in the way that the client can decide if they want to pay for a service all out or on a regular subscription plan. All I know is with one the other cannot be available and without the other, the other cannot be available for the same product / service. Of course one can duplicate a product / service allowing both methods of payment one in each, but this creates a rather repetitious web content problem so, the needs for such an enable / disable feature prevent product / service cloned content within a website while still offering those payment options.
