Sort by biggest discount

Is there a way to sort products by the biggest discount? If not, could you please consider to add this.

Hello,

It would require a custom plugin and the code would be very complex since the discount is not part of the product or prices ; and is fully dynamic depending the user group, etc.
The level of complexity and the required queries would be difficult to handle ; specially if you want to perform a "sort" on it.

I need the products sorting by which has highest percent of discount.
My site has 3-4 types of discount - e.g 10,20,30 and 50%
Now I wish to have a sort by discount percent filter.
Where first 50%, then 30%, then 20% and then 10% products are shown.
Don't have to worry about actual price as buyers are more interested in the ratio of fall.
This should be there and seems easy to achieve. Can you do it?

One alternative might be to create a "products on sale" page on your website. You could do that with a menu item of the type "products listing". In it, you can activate the "discount onlty" setting and it will only display discounted products.
