Error message on Registered User login

-- PHP version -- : 5.4.9
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : Firefox or Chrome
-- Error-message(debug-mod must be tuned on) -- : Error_message

If I try to log in with my user name in the front end when trying to check out, I get forwarded to an ERROR page. What's wrong?

Hi,

We are using the Joomla registration system, so it seems to be a Joomla issue not an HikaShop one.
In the users settings have you set registration on username or on email ? Than can probably be the origin of the problem.

Hi xavier, where do I find the user settings? i usually lock into the backend with my username. how does it need to be for hikashop to work properly?
I also heard from many customers that during the checkout, when they already entered evevrything, they get thrown out of the checkout, the shopping cart is empty and the order does not arrive in our system. what could that be?

Hi,

It's probably because you have the user account activation option of the joomla user manager options screen activated. Go in your joomla user manager, click on the "options" button and turn off that option and it should be better.

I don't think that I have it activated.. see the screenshot attached. it's in german but you probably know the position..

This error in English is "Access denied".
This would indicate that you configured the ACL of the Joomla configuration to not allow login for the user group of the user account you're trying to connect to your website with.
So it's not a HikaShop problem. You need to check your Joomla ACLs.

ACL are the permission of Joomla, aka. the thing that helps you decide who can access what.
You can check this in System>Global Configuration>Permissions and see if there are sufficient rights to access the apge.
