Probably a problem of invalid HTML.
What if you set the layout to "tabular" and instead use the "protostar" template ?
If it works fine, then the problem is with your template override of the tabular layout.
Otherwise, make sure that you're using the latest version of HikaShop.

The view "show tabular" is stripping the description at the top of the page ; unfortunately, PHP is not really good with UTF-8 and it looks like it cut at the wrong place.
Please put a "read more" tag in your product description in order to set yourself the right place to "cut".
