Send email to user with serial

Hi,

How to configure hikaserial to send to user his serial by email after payment confirmation?

Hi,

You just have to set the option : "Display serials for customer"
www.hikashop.com/support/documentation/1...play_serial_statuses

Once the order have the "right" order status, HikaSerial will add automatically his content (with the serial information) into order status notification emails.

Hi Jerome,

well, I afraid I have troubles here also.

When I have worked with FREE products, then all right, serial is attached to CONFIRM email.

Now I have tested products with non-zero price, so order is placed, then I go to Admin -> Shop - Orders,
and change status to Confirmed or Shipped (tested both ) ...
-- I get dialog which ask if to send notification to user
-- I set YES
-- it show letter which will be sent to user -- and right here in this dialog, letter do not show serial ...
-- I click OK, letter arrives to me as user, and no serial

But if I go to MY ORDERS page, and enter into order, then serial is deployed fine.
Also in logs I see that generate() function was called and serial was generated fine ...

Problem only -- why in email there is no serial ??

Aha, if to try change STATUS of order again, e.g. from Confirmed to Shipped, or from Shipped to Confirmed,
then in the shown dialog and in email - serial does present ....

Hmm, But it should be in the first letter also I believe. Right?
What is wrong?

Hi,

When you change an order status in the backend, you should not use the order listing.
I wrote that instruction a lot of time in the forum ; there is no problem with the order notification email, just with the email generation for an order which is modified yet. If the order is not modified yet, HikaSerial did not generate the serials, yet ; so it can't add the serials in the email before the order has been modified :)

Hi Jerome,

well, I think it will be easy -- not use order listing ..
* so I have opened an order itself,
* click pencil in the first group,
* see menu to change order Status - change it to Confirmed

Problem is that letter was not sent at all....
Serial is shown in the order ...

And so far I was not able to find your instructions on this forum ...


UPDATE --- Aha! I see checkbox Notify User ... This issue solved :)

Hi,

today I test the attach serial plugin. The Standard setting was set. (confirmed, shipped). I test with sandbox. I don't know why IPN does not work via sandbox. So when I manually set the status to confirmed, no e-ail with serial will sent out. When I set status shipped, e-mail goes with serial out. What could be wrong?

Hi,

For IPN validation ; please open a thread in the HikaShop forum section.
About your attach serial configuration ; the configuration is currently "empty". There is no image so the plugin won't provide you anything if it does not have a image to work with.
