Help with HikaSerial - Setup for Fift Vouchers

-- Error-message(debug-mod must be tuned on) -- : No Error message, just need help.

Hi, I have purchased HikaSerial and I would like to use it to create Gift Vouchers that can be used for specific products. After installing it I am no closer to understanding how to set this up, either after reading the documentation. Is there a step-by-step guide on how to set up gift vouchers? I am not really understanding how this all connects together.

Hello,

You can use that tutorial : www.hikashop.com/support/documentation/2...ticket-tutorial.html
But instead of using the "random" generator, you have to use the "coupon" one : www.hikashop.com/support/documentation/1...ugins-coupongen.html

Please note that before creating the coupon generator instance, you have to create an HikaShop coupon (unpublished) which will be duplicate each time a new serial will be created by that generator.

Thanks for that. So I have gone through and done that.

I want to create Gift Vouchers of £50, £100 and £200 where do I go to add the value to the voucher? Is it the product price?

Also is it possible to add a voucher that can only be used for a specific product category?

Hello,

The fact that the coupon generator copy your "coupon template" allows you to use all HikaShop coupon restrictions and filters, like the product category filter.

You can set-up the coupon generator to change the value of the coupon price

Variable discount - If not empty, it would override the coupon flat amount by the percentage of the linked product price.

By using a 100% variable discount, the coupon price will be the product price.

Some screenshots of your coupon template, your coupon generator and your pack will be also useful to understand the current situation and help you the best way.

We do prefer to help you understanding how the product is working and how to use/configure it.

Hi, so for some reason all other products seem to be working fine and you can pay with no issues. The vouchers give the attached error, just saying INVALID_DATA. I have also attached two files for the Voucher product. It does create the serial if I manually finish the order in the backend, but need to test the email etc.

Stripe do not accept payments below $0.5 / €0.50.
We recommend to set-up the minimum price in the plugin depending your currency.

Thanks for that, I think I am almost there! I have managed to get the voucher working, printed to a pdf and that looks great. My last issue is trying to get the serial number and some general text that will explain how to use it in the confirmation email, but only when they have ordered a voucher. How would I go about doing this?

Hello,

You will find two views "show_email_notification_html" (one in the front, another in the back) which are used for the HikaShop emails.
It displays the serials list but you can override the view to add some text.
You need to override both views because the email can be generated from the front (payment notification) or in the back (manual confirmation).

Hi, I am just trying to get the text in the email. The issue is that the serial is not showing in the email that is sent to the customer. See attached for the email the customer receives. Do I need to switch this on somewhere?

Hello,

Looking at your email, that's not a "default" HikaShop email but a customized one.
Since there is no details regarding the order, I suppose there is no trigger for HIkaSerial.
You should open a new thread in the HikaShop section of the forum in order fr your "order customer notification" email.
