Pack generator does not generate serials.

-- Error-message(debug-mod must be tuned on) -- : Error_message

Hi

I am trying to generate coupon codes using a template coupon and the coupon generator. I go into the pack, select generator and press generate, fill in the amount and submit. The generator return me to the pack listing window but no serials are created, it just says "empty". No error message. I tried a the random serial generator too but same thing.

Hi,

The "generate" button can only work if you save the configuration with the generator you want to use. So it should be done in two steps.
When you click on "generate" it uses the generator in the actual saved configuration.

When you submit the "generate" page, you should stay in the same page with a notice message saying "XX serials generated with success". (where XX is the number of serials you asked).
If you want to generate coupons with the coupon generator you should have a coupon template without any product needed (no variable price, just fixed price).

Yes, I have done it just like you suggest but still no serials are being generated. It does not stay in the same page as you say, it just goes back to the pack listing.

I have 1.7.1

I will update the extension to 1.7.4 tomorrow and see if I get better results.

It is highly possible that the 1.7.4 fix your problem.
I think that the problem comes from the button and Joomla 3.
