GC Serial Problems

I have the gift certificate made as a product with characteristics $25, $50, $75, or $100. I made the gift certificate as a pdf the buyer will download (one for $25, one for $50, etc.). To the gc product, I assigned nothing. To the characteristics I assigned each their pdf file and hikaserial named "gift certificate" which uses coupongen pack generator.

When I go through a sale on a gift certificate, I do not get the serial number assigning nor do I receive the download address for the file pdf in the email.

What am I doing wrong?

Hi,

Serials are generated when the order is confirmed.
Download files are accessible when the order is confirmed.
If you want you can configure and change the "valid" order statuses for serials and download access.

What should I change it to? The customer should not be able to download or see the serial number until after it's paid for...

I changed them all to confirmed.

Now I did get the confirmation email link and when I click it, it says "INVALID_FILE_NUMBER" .

There is no indication of a serial number in the email. When I view the order in my browser I can only see underneath in text the word "serials"

Hi,

There was a bug in HikaShop 2.0 with file download.
Please re-download HikaShop 2.0 to fix this problem.

In order to change the configuration of "serial assignation"
www.hikashop.com/en/hikashop/111-hikaser...nable_order_statuses

In the HikaShop back-end, open your order.
You should see a "Serials" zone with a "Refresh associations" button at the right.
If the serial table is empty, click on the "refresh" button to reprocess serial associations (it could happen if the hikaserial configuration changed after the order last modification).

I have modified the default view for "show_order_front_show" in order to do not display the title "Serials" when there is no serial attached to the order.
This modification would be include in the next package (1.5.1)

Thank you for all of your help. Now I did all you said and the download link works and also the serial number is assigned. So this is my last question...

I made the gift certificate pdf download say "... fill in the "To:___, From:___, Serial#:____" and then - if the recipient enters the serial number into the online cart they can use this amount of the gift certificate for shopping.

So where do I assign the dollar value to the serial? And where will they type the serial number in on Hikashop checkout?

Thanks

Hi,

The coupon generator plugin documentation could help you for this point :
www.hikashop.com/en/hikashop/139-hikaser...-coupongen-form.html

When you create a configuration for the coupon generator, you attach the configuration to a specific coupon, so to a specific value.
You have to create 3 coupon templates for 3 configurations for your 3 different coupon values.

Each time a serial would be generated, a HikaShop coupon would be generated by HikaSerial.
Coupon could be use during the checkout, in the task "coupon".
If the task is not in your checkout workflow, you should add it.

I, too, have an issue where my serials are not getting e-mailed when I manually confirm an order. I looked at the order, went down to Serials and clicked "Refresh Associations". The serials still aren't listed. Can I PM forum mod to look at my HikaShop and HikaSerial configuration? Thanks, Eric.

Hi,

The HikaSerial option "Assignable order statuses" was empty.
I set the default values "confirmed, shipped" and the serials are now assigned correctly.
