How to find out who used the coupon?

Hi, we need to trace the coupons ( Gift certificates).
What we can do: we can identify who bought the serial number
What we cannot do: we can not find out who used the serial number
What we need: from the serial number we somehow must find the person who actually USED the serial number

How can we realise this?

Hi,

HikaSerial link the serial with the user. In the HikaSerial backend, you can see in the serial listing (and in the serial form) the user name (with a link to his HikaShop account).
Careful: There is an option in HikaSerial 1.7.3 in order to do not make this make.

After that, in HikaShop the coupon code, when use, is stored in the order.
We can see to improve the interface in order to improve the access to this information, like a listing in the product code form.
It could be possible to search for the product code in the order listing (and add the column to display it), so that can be a solution.

It could be possible to modify HikaSerial in order to display some information in the serial form about the serial.
But it will require some development because we have to trigger the right plugin which have generated this serial (I guess using the package configuration, it will be easier than put sort of "tracker").

Hi Jerome,

you wrote:

In the HikaSerial backend, you can see in the serial listing (and in the serial form) the user name (with a link to his HikaShop account).
>> i can only identify the buyer in both screens.

Careful: There is an option in HikaSerial 1.7.3 in order to do not make this make.
>> i played around with all settings, still cant see the user who USED the serial

For me i dont need a fancy solution but must find out who used the serial number.

So, whats the next step towards a solution? Is it somewhere or has it to be developed. I guess, one day this should be part of the product, right?

Hi Juergen,

I don't really know what you want to display or how you want to access to the information.
It is more a HikaShop question than an HikaSerial one.

Like I said, you can override some view in order to display the order code in the order listing.
You can also use the "mass action" to list all orders which contains a coupon code (and display the user too).

If you want to have the information in HikaSerial, a little development will be required but it is something which I can add in the component.
If you want to have the information in HikaShop, you can use the mass-action or you can give us ideas so we can find a good solution.

Hi Jerome,

to make it more understandable, i send you an usecase:

girl buys a giftcertificate for her boyfriend :
In Hikashop the order Code is generated order-7
In hikaserial a serial number is generated lets Say Gift-123

3 days later boy uses this code to buys something in the shop
In Hikashop the order Code is generated order-8
In Hikaserial the Serialnumber is linked to the order, but we cannot see this

What we can see in Hikaserial is the following

Order-7 is linked to the Giftcertificate Gift-123 ( User created this code)

What we cannot trace is the following:
Order 8 is linked to the Giftcertificate Gift-123 ( User used this code)

For us would be an ideal solution the following:
By selecting the Serialnumber (Gift-123) i get all Data from the serial number (Wich is already working)
In hikaserial i can see the Ordernumber of the person who bought the serial number Gift-123 ( Order-7)

AND ( and this is not working at the moment)
I would like to see as well the Order wich ctually used the serial number (Order- 8) and the serial Number ( Gift-123)

Is this more understandable?

Hi,

It is not that it is not working at the moment, it is just that it is not implemented in HikaSerial because I didn't think that should be his goal.
And I still think that. But if you think accessing to the order though HikaSerial and not HikaShop is needed, I will put it in my TODO list.
