coupon in single trans, apply's to multiple

I have created a pack of coupons using hikaserial. I have set the the coupon to a single product and the quota to 1. The product requires custom information, so you cannot have a higher quantity than 1 but can have multiple instances of the product within the cart. When applying the coupon, it apply's the discount to all instances of the product and not just one.
Is there a setting to only allow a coupon to match up with 1 instance of the product and not all within the basket.
Also is there a setting to allow more than one coupon to be applied to the basket as the coupon entry box disappears once a coupon is entered.
