Using HikaSerial to generate tickets and capture user details....

Hi,

We are planning to sell tickets to workshops that we run and it appears from my reading that HikaSerial would be able to do this. One of the things we want to do though is that we want to capture attendee information for each of the tickets that are sold. So a typical flow would be:

- User selects the workshop they want to attend
- They select the number of tickets they want to purchase
- If they select 2 tickets then they are presented with the the necessary inputs to full in the attendee details (see attached image)

1) How would one achieve the above?
2) Is it then possible to email out the tickets to each individual separately?

All pointers and help greatly appreciated.

Hello,

It would require to use custom item fields (HikaShop Business) so for each ticket, you will be able to provide the specific details.
Afterwards, HikaSerial (and its plugins) handle the custom item field ; so you will be able to display them in the emails et ticket image/pdf.

Hi Jerome,

With the custom fields how do you control the dynamic count of the attendees? So for instance are you saying that I create custom fields:

Attendee1_FirstName
Attendee1_LastName
Attendee1_Email
Attendee2_FirstName
Attendee2_LastName
Attendee2_Email
Attendee3_FirstName
Attendee3_LastName
Attendee3_Email
AttendeeN_FirstName
AttendeeN_LastName
AttendeeN_Email
...

1) Are you saying I create attendee fields up to the maximum count I support per order?
2) Dynamically hide the ones that aren't necessary based on the count?

Hello,

Unfortunately it cannot work like that.

The quantity in the cart does not influence the custom fields in that way.
You need one single "firstname / lastname / email" and add several time the product for the different persons.

The system cannot say "there is several products in the cart, I take these elements for that product and these elements for that one".
(or it would require a very long and complicated development)
