Hello again,

I have a question concerning uploading photo's in the frontend using Hikamarket.

My customer has problems to upload photo's. When doing this the screen 'hangs' and the photo is not uploaded (see attachment).
When I try to do this I have no issue. I have tried on 4 different PC's with the same customer userid.

Have you seen this issue before?
Do you have an idea what the issue could be?

Thanks a lot!
Hugo

Hi,

Would it be possible to have an access to the website in order to test it ?
With some browser trace, it would be possible to see the ajax return content.

It is possible that some data broke the JSON content.
Do you have some PHP debug traces activated in the website ?
Does the HikaShop upload folder have right write accesses ?

I see the problem once when I had the PHP debug trace activated and I got a PHP notice. But I fixed the notice so it should not happen (but it's possible that you have another notice).
That's why, using some development tools in order to see the HTML requests content would help me to understand the problem.

Hi Jerome,

Yes, I can give you access. Where can I send it to?
I don't have debug traces activated.

Problem is that I can not reproduce the issue. This only happens with my customer.
On my PC I can upload issue without any issue.

Thank you

Hello,

This could be an IE issue indeed. When I tried on my PC it did not work with IE, but it worked with Firefox.

Thanks

Hi,

I made a test with IE on the demo website and I can't reproduce the problem.
Would it be possible to have an access to the website in order to make some tests with IE, try to reproduce the problem and fix it ? (you can send me it by private message).
In IE, you have some development tools too (shortchut is: F12). You can check the console in order to see the javascript error, you can read the network data, etc.

Which version of Internet Explorer do you use ?

Hi Jerome,

I have sent you the login details via a private message.

The issue occurs in IE v8 and v9.

Hi,

Thanks for the accesses.
I have reproduce the problem with IE 8 and 9. It is a problem with the javascript library which is used by HikaMarket.
After several hours of tests, I don't understand why the upload works with IE8&9 on the library demo website and why it does not work in HikaMarket and other minimalist implementations.
So I have put the upload fallback for Internet Explorer < 10.

Hi Jerome,

Thanks for all the effort you put into this!
Where did you put the upload fallback?

I have installed the latest version (from today), but the issue is still there.

Hi Hugo,

I have send you the preview package by email.
For the moment I didn't updated the current package, I have to finish some new features before creating the new release.

Thanks

Thanks Jerome,

I have installed the package, but this does not seem to be working.
I get a pop-up message where I can enter a name and select the picture.
When trying to save I get a blank screen in the pop-up.

But no problem, I can wait till this is included in the next release.
When do you expect this?

For now I can work with the workaround (=Firefox).

Thanks

Hi,

Thanks for the report, I will make more tests with Internet Explorer.
The blank pop-up is logical but the popup should be closed. I guess there is a little problem with the mootools domready that I have already detect in your website.
I will check for a good workaround.
