Hi, Is it possible to install HikaMarket after configuring and testing a HikaBusiness installation?

What are the possible issues that would need to be considered?

Thanks,

K

Hi,

HikaMarket requires HikaShop to work (any version of HikaShop, starter to business).
The component has been design to be installed on an existing HikaShop store.

"HikaMarket front-editing" would give you new editing features in the front-end, it would not impact your website or your configurations.
"HikaMarket multi-vendor" would give you the multi-vendor features, your HikaShop store would not be modified but you would be able to sell products of other vendors directly in your store.

HikaMarket have his own tables. It would add some new columns in your HikaShop database but it would not impact your current store.

So if you purchase HikaMarket Multi-Vendor, but still want the features of Hika Business, you need to Purchase Hika business as well?

We are currently running Hikashop Essentials with MultiVendor attached.... I assumed all components of Business would be in the MultiVendor copy as well

(not being difficult.... just not sure! :P )

Hi,

You can use any version of HikaShop with HikaMarket.
It will add the front-end editing and multi-vendor features but it does not add features from HikaShop Business if you don't have it.

HikaShop still have "his own life", you can update and upgrade HikaShop without impacting HikaMarket.

Hi Jerome,
Glad to see that multi-vendor is now available!

I'm about to purchase and just wanted to check on a couple things before I do so.
1. Can I set permissions so that a vendor can only see/edit their 'stuff' and not another vendor's?
2. I want to get Hika business and Hika Multi-vendor. I assume I load Business then MV, but is there anything else I need?

Finally, it seems like templates are scare for Hika-shop. Any new providers out there that you can recommend?

Thanks,
Jim

1. Of course

2. There is nothing else.

3. HikaShop and HikaMarket will working with any Joomla template.
I would however recommend you to use bootstrap compatible templates so that you can use the responsive option of HikaShop and display properly the interfaces on the frontend on mobile devices.

Thanks much for the answers!

What would be an example of a "bootstrap" compatible template? Is there a way to identify this sort from the rest?

The ddefault template of Joomla 3.x is compatible with bootstrap.

If the template has the bootstrap.js and boostrap.css files loaded on pages, then it's bootstrap compatible. Normally, template designers will mention it in the details of the template.
For example: www.joostrap.com/

We currently have Hikashop Business, We are interested in the Multivendor features.
The way I understand it, is it is installed kind of as an add on ?
Is there any discount since we have a current subscription to the Business ?

Hi,

Yes HikaMarket (like HikaSerial) is a Joomla component which work as an add-on for HikaShop.
For the moment, there is no discount or bundle for HikaMarket.
