Hi there,

I've got Hikamarket set up to create a category for each vendor, and I'm using MyMaps to allow geo search.

That all works great, BUT I'd like to be able to split up products on vendor pages by category.

Is it possible to allow vendors to create or use subcategories but still have their products show on their page, and if so, how?

Also, what are the options to organise categories on their page if it is possible? So if I wanted to have a submenu that appears on their page with their categories, could I do something like that?

Hello,

As long as your vendor have their own "vendor category", they will be able to create sub categories via the front-end interface (and the right ACL).
Vendors can only create/modify categories which are under their own "vendor category" so they can't affect the main store categories.

Since your product listing module displayed in your vendor page will list all vendor products, it won't be affected by the categories.
Thus it allows you (and your vendors) to organise the products in categories without affecting the display in the vendor page.

Hi,
I've tried to set this up so that vendors can create categories, but I can't figure it out.
I've attached screenshots of the config pages and the access page, as well as the dashboard on the site. As you can see, there's no menu option for categories for them.
How do I do this? If you could give me step-by-step instructions to allow vendors to create subcategories but not see any of the other categories on the site? If there's an article explaining this, that will work too.
I just need to know what the settings required are, though.

Hello,

I'm sorry but I can see/read your settings. The screenshot is too small.
