One license for multiply domains?

Hello,

I have just purchased the commercial 'Business' version of HikaShop and did not notice any restrictions set in my account or a facility to specify the domain name(s) I want to use it for.

Does that mean I can install HikaShop on multiply domains?

Yes. Support and services like the cron task are however limited to 1 domain.

It's something which triggers your website periodically in order to run some tasks:

It's used for the google products plugin, for the wait list notifications, for the currency auto update, etc.

As it says in this topic, there are unlimited domains are allowed per license. In this case why Hikashop script is asking for a domain attachment after I have transferred the website to another domain?

Has the licensing policy changed?

No.
However, for the cron task and the auto update systems, they are linked to the subscription on our end so you will get an error if the website is not set for your subscription on our website.
If you go to the menu Your account->Your subscriptions on our website you can change the URL of the website of the subscription.

What if we do not want to use the cron features and our copy of HikaShop is customized (has custom coding in it) to meet our requirements?

Can we simply disable cron functionality?

The code is open source, if you want to remove the warning, it's not a problem for us.
However, the cron shouldn't be active by default.

What is the exact error message you have and on which page ?

That page URL is the update page URL. It's normal that it says that on that page. You can just download it on your account on our website and and install the update manually.

Do you have that error on other pages ? If so which ones ?

That should not happen. Not unless you have a really old version of HikaShop.

Is that the case ?

If so, you can change the line:
if($taskGroup != 'update'){

to:
if(false){

in the file administrator/components/com_hikashop/hikashop.php to remove the check.

Hi

we would like to buy Hika Business for a domain which is not yet existing only registered and would like to have all support connected to this domain in future.

In the meantime - can we use for ca 2 weeks this license for testing on a different domain which will be anyway disabled?

Hi,

You can move the domain where the license is attached.
In the same time, the production + development sites are totally accepted for the support. It is logical that you have a test website and a production one. We have too so we won't limit anything in the support about that :)
