Hi Nic,

I am probably good enough to write this myself but have you created a plugin yet to integerate the customer details with the joomla 2.5 user profile?

Thanks,

Mat

Hi,

Yes, we have built it on our end. It will be included in next version of HikaShop.

Let us know if you find any problems.
We're starting the testing phase for next release today.

It adds the hikashop custom user fields in the profile edition page.

By default, there is no address fields on the user profile.
HikaShop's addresses are not compatible with Joomla's 2.5 addresses, so no.
You should keep deactivated the joomla address fields, in order not to confuse users.

So I have created my joomla address fields and you will add those values to the joomla profile table - what key value is it prefixed with?

You can create custom fields of the table "user" via the menu Display->Custom fields in HikaShop (in commercial editions only).
These fields will appear on the HikaShop registration form and on the checkout registration form.
With that new user plugin, they will also appear on the user profile page so that the user can edit them.
These fields are stored in the hikashop_user table and are not compatible with the joomla user fields. They are a replacement.

Hi Nicolas,

I would like to do the following.
1. Use the joomla member profile system to store the members address.
2. When the user changes their address profile I will get the users hikashop id from hikashop_user
3. and insert into the table hikashop_address the relevant fields for the members new address
4. Of course I will make sure both the profile and hikashop use the same fields for address

I think that will work - from what I can tell you use the last row per user in hikashop_address for the users address?

Thanks,

Mat

You can create a joomla user plugin for that.
You will need to insert/update the address in the hikashop_address table. It will be better than adding a new entry each time I think.
Also, note that even if the fields have the same name, their value might not be compatible.
For example, the states and country fields in HikaShop uses the namekey of the zone data from the hikashop_zone table. So you might need additional logic based on ho you create your fields in joomla.

There is already a user profile plugin included in the latest versions of HikaShop.

You just need to create custom 'user' fields via the menu Display->Custom fields.
