Hello,

I realised that it is not possible to show an image in a product option. (I wonder why it is provided anyway ...)
Then I saw on the demo site of Hikashop that they use an URL link in the option.

something like this ....
index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=47&Itemid=92&tmpl=component

I could use this also... but in my case the article is not showing up in a separate window.
How do you handle this?
On the demo site I can't view the article to find out how this is created.

Thank you for you help

Best regards,
Jan

Hi,

The article you specify in the URL of the option should automatically appear in a popup, like the demo website.
If that's not the case, it's possible that you have a javascript error on your website preventing the popup to be properly initialized.
You should check the javascirpt error console of your browser while looking at the page to see if you have an error of that sort.
If you could give a link to that page, we could look at that and probably give you some solution.

Note that options can be normal products. Suppose that you sell a computer and a mouse, and that the mouse can be sold as an option of the computer but can also be sold on its own. In that case, you will use only one product for the mouse and thus you will have to put an image for the mouse when you browse it from the listing of products.

Hi NIcolas,

This is the link of the page. (I only added an URL link on the last option : "Foilprinting - on the cover" Information
When you click on that "INFO" button you will see it is not opening the article like on your demo site.

index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=83&Itemid=93&tmpl=component

That's indeed because you have a javascript conflict.
Please turn off the jch optimize plugin which apparently breaks your javascript and if that's not enough, please try to also install and configure the plugin jquery easy which can help avoid such javascript conflicts.

Please give more info on your other problem.

Hi,

I have a question related to this topic:
The popup window opens properly when I click on the little "i" next to the product option onto the URL I have put in the option's URL.
However, unlike on your demo website (product with option), it shows the actual website page of the option article but not the article only related to my option.

Is there a particular way to refer to the article only without its surrounding?

Thank you

Hi,

You need to add &tmpl=component in the URL of your article, like we do on our demo website.
