G'day,

The BA would like the checkout process into 3 sections (so less is on each page and it kind of walks the user through)

1) dropdown/product list (next)
2) registration/login (next)
3) shipping/payment method

Is this easy? Is there a reason I would NOT want to do it this way?

Cheers,
Susan

Hi there,

It's quite easy, you have to go to system>configuration>checkout.
Then you can here configure the different step of your checkout process.
So in your case you put the "Cart" elements in a first step, then "login" and "address" in a second step (click on the "add Step" button to add a step) and finally "shipping" and "payment" in a last step.
You can move these element with a click and drag process and you can also display the checkout workflow process to make clearer in the checkout :)
