Hello I'm a german User,

I would like to use Hikashop, but I`m not sure about some features.

Background:

I'm a photgrapher and I need a shop soultion which is able to handle pictures from the gallery (actually I use Joomgallery but I`m able to switsch if anotherone is better for this) directly in the shop system. I already tried a Plugin.

Question:

Is it possible to choose an different Path for the Shop pictures? Maybe at the CSV.Data? The reason isI want to use the pictures from the gallerie component.

Sorry about my bad english.

Hi,

In the HikaShop configuration, you can configure the "upload" path (in the "File" tab).
The upload path is the path where your images are upload in your server.
The safe upload path is path where your secured files are upload in your server (for secured download).

When you set images for a product in the backend, you can upload an image or you can specify the file path.
So, you can set pictures which are not in the upload path.

One more question about that:

The Joomgallery save the pictures in different parths per categorie and Hikashop in one parth is this correct?

Edit:

I tried to fill in the path to the picture in the Joomgallery but it doesn't work...(directly at the product)

It starts with:

images/joomgallery/originals/...

Hi,

When you fill the path in HikaShop, relative path starts from the "HikaShop root image".
You can try by using a full path "/home/..../images/joomgallery/..."

Hi,

In the backend, it is only possible to upload images. Files have this option of specified path.
But you can modify it in the database. It is planned that the image management support same option than the file.

Hi,

HikaShop has, since 2 years ago a galery system which is connected to the Joomla media manager.
So when you upload an image in HikaShop you can see and manage it in the Joomla media manager, and vice-versa, if you upload/move a file to the HikaShop upload folder, or in a sub folder of that folder, via the Joomla media manager, you'll be able to select it in the products.

So the difficulties mentioned in this thread have been solved.

Thanks Nicolas

I understand the trick

the fact that i cannot create folders directly from Hikashop popup image selection make me in trouble

i did it directly in filezilla and it is ok

not easy also to put picture in this new folder
i move it with filezilla, then select it with Hikashop popup image selection

i use jce as editor

take care
