Would be very good to add a couple features to the AlphaUserPoints integration, if at all possible.
1. Limit earning of points to a category or categories of products, but still be able to specify earning of points as a percentage of the selling price. In other words, make the rate of earning different for different categories, and only allow earning in selected categories. For retailers using Hikashop, they really would want to offer reward points, but definitely want to restrict to certain product categories only, or be able to specify different rates based on the category.
For example, if a retailer offers washing machines at $2000 and a very low margin, they may want to give rewards points at a lower rate than, for example, a higher margin product like accessories. And it cannot be assigned by the number of units purchased in a category, it needs to be based on the selling price so that the points are a percentage of the selling price.
For most retailers, reward point earning needs to reflect the margins in a wide variety of products. Thus the request to assign an earning rate by category.
2. It would also be nice if you could also restrict the use/redemption of reward points to specific categories. Again, a majority of retailers have a large difference in margins of their various products. While it may be acceptable to allow usage of rewards points for some categories of products, other categories may simply have too low a margin to allow usage of reward points.
Don't know how difficult this would be to implement, and it is designed for a shopping cart system as opposed to a Joomla member type setup, but I think it would be a very strong selling point for Hikashop as a top alternative in shopping carts.
