Hi Guys,

I have a site that is going live today ( not an option to delay it).
But the shipping per product does not want to work for some reason.

I need it to use flat price per product. We have set $8 per product, so if i add 2 products, shipping should be $16.
my configuration is in the screenshot attached. What am I doing wrong???

Also, is there a way to make sure that when you edit number of items in the cart the shipping methods don't reset to the default one.???

Thanks heaps!

Hi,

If you want to use the "Use price per product" option, you'll have to : (you can also use it by filling the "price per product option")
- Go to your products pages
- Set a price for each products and a minimum quantity products through the "Shipping prices" tab of each product's page

Hope this will help you.

HI Mohamed,

I don't have shipping prices tab on the products page. I might be using an older hikashop version or something like that.
The trouble is that my client is very uncomfortable with computers and they can hardly put in a product description, let alone 4 shipping prices for each product.

Isn't there a way to make the manual shipping method work??? Essentially we have 3 free shipping methods and one paid. So we need the paid one to work at a higher than product level... HOpe i am not asking for something too complex :)

Can you follow each step of the shipping FAQ and tell me if it solves your problem ?

HI Mohamed,

I went item by item through entire list, and everything is ok.

The shipping appears ok, but it just does not multiply the shipping cost by the number of products in the cart ( they are just cases of wine, so they all are the same)

What else could be wrong :dry: ???

Ok, so can you give me a temporary access to you back-end through PM, for testing purpose ?

Hi,

We got the access but we're actually not able to access your backend. The URL you provided only lead to a blank page.

I don't know why you would have that without really looking into it.
However, there is a simple way to do the same without using the price per product option.
Just set the same weight for all your products, for example 1kg.
Then, create one manual shipping method per weight range like that:
from 0.5 to 1.5 kg=>8 AUD
from 1.5 to 2.5kg => 16 AUD
...etc...

That should definitely work.

Hi Nicolas,

Thank you for looking into this for me. Late last night as a last resourse i have installed the latest version of Hikashop and that has fixed the issue. :)

Thanks again!
