Looking at the cart layout from an unregistered users view, I get first the login block and under it the registration block.

The first one sets the label and input field under each other, the second block does this next to each other, using a table build.
Before I start to change all sites en templates:

Is there a special reason why this is build this way. Wouldn't it a good idea t use the same table setup for both as default in Hika?

Hi,

It's built this way for the low widths, because the login and registration form are one next to the other one.
But you can edit the view "checkout / login_form" and remove the "<br/>" tags.

Yes I am aware I can change it and only removing the <br/> tag wil not help to bring it in the same layout.
But your point is also not valid, because I am using it on a narrow site and get two different layouts on the same page.

It is not the point why, it is about inconsistency in the programming.
Please put it on the bug/request list to take a look at.

We actually modified the registration form to have the labels and inputs one below another since Joomla 3.0.
We however didn't backport the changes for Joomla 1.5/2.5 because everyone using HikaShop before already had their CSS styling in place with the HTML that was present before and the new HTML would not have been compatible with that. We wanted to avoid the hassle for people updating HikaShop on their Joomla 1.5/2.5 website by not doing the backport.

Thanks! Good one and yes good idea not to break it.
Basically we agree then. Will check it on a J3 site.
Now I just have to update a whole bunch of sites by hand.....

Thanks for the clear answer!
