We have iVeri Lite in South Africa. iVeri have setup a test application id that must respond to the following card codes. After this is done we can use our live application id with real cards.

1111222233334444
Required response: "Invalid card number"
Actual response: "Credit card number is invalid;" (acceptable)

2121212121212121
Required response: "Denied", "Hot Card" or "Failed"
Actual response: "Credit card number is invalid;" (not acceptable)

5454545454545454
Required response" Time out" or "Unable to process"
Actual response: "The transaction could not be processed due incorrect or missing information." (not acceptable, bug?)

Required response: "Successful"
Actual response: "The transaction could not be processed due incorrect or missing information." (not acceptable, bug?)

Thank you for your feedback.

We've contacted iveri's technical support to see with them how we could get access to that test application to be able to reproduce the problem and see hat we need to do if anything.
We're now waiting for them to answer.

I also have an active project in South Africa. Having ruled out PayPal Plus as it won't transact in RAND it looks like Iveri is the only Hikashop supported SA gateway.

I'm nervous however, that it appears to have broken and it's over a month without a resolution - I think I'd lose my client if I implemented it and it broke!

Is there an update?

Also, is there any interest in a Paygate XML payment plug-in as this is the direction I'm leaning towards developing...

So here are the results of our tests:

The number is refused directly by HikaShop as the number is not valid with the message: "Credit card number is invalid;"

You say that this is not acceptable but I don't see why ? That credit card number is not valid. So it's the normal behavior.

A code 9 or 255 is returned by iveri and HikaShop display the error message "The transaction could not be processed due incorrect or missing information." and abort the order creation as such error code means that the payment gateway couldn't process the payment.

Again, that's normal. You say that you expect "unable to process" but our error message is exactly that... We just display a message a bit nicer for the user so that it is less cryptic than just "unable to process".

The order is created and the thank you message is displayed.
So we cannot reproduce what you're saying. It works at it should here too.

So basically, with all the tests we did with the test user account that was provided by iveri is that the plugin is still working as before and as per the requirements of iveri.
We've also reanalyzed the documentation provided by iveri www.iveri.com/iveri-downloads/lite/ and didn't see any change in the way the requests/responses should be handled.

So as far as I can see, you can already use the plugin the way it is. Just in case, here is the latest version of the plugin that we used for our tests.

Success! The tweaked prompts are a nice touch.

I updated the iVeri plugin with the link provided, but it still didn't work and hikashop said it was updated to the latest version. I then downloaded and overwrote "com_hikashop_business_2.2.0_2013-08-07" with the one I already had installed on the site. This fixed it. I think some of the previously installed files were broken.

Am continuing with iVeri's testing process. Once they are happy and we are live, I'll post a fully working success notice.

While the testing Application ID worked perfectly, we were unable to go live successfully. The Live Application ID submitted all information to the iVeri backend, but they were unable to get it working. Still happy with hikashop, just letting you know what the situation is and hoping that South African clients will have an alternative choice in the future.
