different categorys different view options

Hallo.

I wanted to discuss the possibility to have each category different sort order and/or view options like casual, list ecc.

I have different product categorys on which i have fix products with illimited pieces and some with unique pieces. Is there any possibility to think about to handle the system > configuration > view options for each category without creating a menu for each category?

for example it would be interesting for my point of view to handle the predefined options for the categorys in the category window when i create the category.
