Virtuemart template usable in Hikashop?

Hello,

We are in the process of setting up a new website for our business. We thought of Virtuemart first as have worked with VM before, but after much consideration (someone strongly advised us not to use VM) we decided to choose another e-commerce solution. We already bought a template for VM, as it is based on Joomla as well, my question is if it is possible to use this template (Nano) with the Hika shop extension? It is a great template .

Thanks! After I just typed this I realised this template is for joomla 2.5 as VM does not support Joomla 3x yet. Will this influence the template when I will use this with Hikashop and Joomla 3x?
