Does JotCache work with Hikashop?

Has anyone succeeded to have JotCache working with Hikashop?

I am trying to exclude a module position where the shopping cart module is published but it does not work.
Shopping cart module is cached and therefore is not updated at page reload.

To discard potential incompatible 3rd party plugins and complex templates issues, I started from a clean installation with no extra addons.

Apache/2.2.24 with mod_fcgid/2.3.6 for the PHP interface
Joomla 3.2.1
Hikashop Business 2.2.3
JotCache 3.1.7
Template: Protostar 1.0
No caching functions besides JotCache

I tried the different ways suggested in JotCache manual but nothing works with Hikashop.
Any idea from the community?

Yes as mentioned previously
- Global cache is OFF
- All cache related system plugins are OFF, except JotCache obviously

We are hosting our 300+ products Hikashop site on a Cloud plan of SiteGround and we are still at 13 seconds per page (6 seconds coming from Joomla).
All optimizations are already done (HTML/JS/CSS minifying/compiling, Page Speed/YSow scores maximization, CDN).

JotCache brings the 6 seconds from back-end down to 1 second. Very impressive but it caches the shopping cart.

We will share what we learn there, but maybe here others have experience to share as well.

The developer of JotCache has just released the 3.1.9 which works with Joomla 3.2 and which can successfully exclude module positions from caching.
If you are using optimization plugins such as JCH, jbetolo or similar, remember to deactivate any HTML minifier as it is not compatible with JotCache.

So with JotCache you can drastically speed up your Hiksahop site and keep the Shopping Cart not cached in a specific module position excluded from caching.

PS: there is still a problem if your site uses multiple currencies as they will be cached. I will report later if I find a way to solve that.
