Migrate from VM 1 to Hikashop Bussines

Hello I need find out if the Hikashop is good choice for me. In past time I did this ecommercial shop rcmshop.cz . It done on Joomla 1.5 and VM1. Products are daily updated from central stock. The shop is old and it has problem with importing pictures. It is very complicated therefore I must to do it manualy. I'm looking for new solution for this rcmshop.cz. I found HikaShop it looks good.

Requirements on Hikashop:

1. I need to make products of sub-categories appear in the parent category. You can see:
www.rcmshop.cz/kategorie/modely-aut (product of subcategories are seen in paret category.

2. System is automatically updated by csv files and it is time-updated by cron. It has several templates for import.

The important thing. How way are pictures updated in HikaShop? In VirtueMart 1 I imported two types of images. One master and the others are imported into another table as media. It came to me complicated. I attach a file if this can be imported.
It is composed with the product id and time the file to download. It is separated by the tab. It contains the maid where there are two sizes of images and b_ and s_ I need this to automatically import via cron, as well as other updates. I'm sure I'll need to script it, but my point is if those pictures I'll be able to update automatically.

How many subacetories can it has? rcmshop.cz has up to 7 subcategories and about 25 000 products. To handle it the Hikashop?

I tried to import products from Virtumemart 1.1.9 to Hikashop. But many categories are expanded as main category but those categories must be as a subcategory.

Now is it:
-Modely letadel
-EPP modely
- Náhradní díly

But right way is:
Modely letadel/EPP modely/Náhradní díly ...
The individual subcategories are divided by /

Other problem with import was with pirces. Prices was not imported and stock was not imported too.
Is it probloem with Hikashop starter is it limited?

Hikashop can manage as much datas as your server allows it.
If you could send me a backend + ftp + database access to your website so I can try by myself and see what's going on, that'd be great.

Thanks for the answer. I did on my localhost, I had to set execute time, for longer. Database is too big. But problem is with category. Category tree is not correctly builded. Many subcategories are as a main category.

I well received your information. It looks like you're not the only one having problem with subcategorie, so we'll take a look at it in order to fix this, but it might take a bit time.
By the way, are all your images (category, product...) imported correctly ?

Thanks, ok I wait. Import of images was not correct because I did not upload into folder. Images are too many about 10 gb. Now I would like to try it. I want to import images separatly.

I'm attaching to this post a fix for the categories hierarchy. This point should be fixed now ; just replace your administrator/components/com_hikashop/helpers/importvm.php file by thoe one attached.

I changed the code in administrator/components/com_hikashop/helpers/importvm.php for your, but the problem with category persists.
