-- Error-message(debug-mod must be tuned on) -- : Can the following be done on hikashop:

We want to add the wholesale price of an item and have a margin like 1.5% to each product which determines the final sales price for customers. So we can base our pricing on mark up margins. The tax also would need to be added. We also want the reports to reflect profit based on the margins.

Hi,

You can create the product with the wholesale price on them, then thanks to the mass actions increase the price by 1.5%
For that you can set up a mass action like that: take.ms/O67nd

For the taxes, you can just set up a common tax rule via the menu System > Taxes.
And regarding the reports, I don't think it's possible to reflect the profit based on the margins by default.
So custom code required for this part.

Actually I was thinking of doing it in real time while keeping the original wholesale pricing on the product. Not in a batch command that changes the price. So the final price should be the cost price plus a margin plus tax and all that information is in the product data and usable in reports.

Hi,

There is no system to have a margin calculated dynamically on the prices. It would require custom development.
