Can HikaSHop do this?

I want to know if this workflow is possible:

My client produces printed manuals for their products on request. A customer can order either a single copy of the manual or 25 copies. So the workflow they require is:

1. A customer visits the site and finds a standard Joomla article product page.

2. On this page is a module that displays the relevant product with a dropdown option to select the quantity. They can then add the product (and quantity option) to the cart.

3. They then go through the cart process entering their delivery details.

4. The manuals do not have a cost and therefore the payment processing part of the checkout process is not required.

Is this achievable?

Sorry but I am not sure to understand correctly your request.

You can indeed display a product in a module, or have a link to a product page.

To select the quantity in a dropdown, you have to use set the option "Quantity layout on product page" in Configuration > Display > Product to "show select".

The option "After a product is added to the cart" in Configuration > Main > Cart can be set on "Always go to the checkout" to be redirected to the cart process.

When setting up a product in backend, you can attach files, and set them as not free to download, this way the customer can download the manuals only once the payment is done, and the file has no price, just the main product price is used.

This is one of the 'products' my client sells. The products have user / maintenance manuals that are printed on demand when required. What I need to achieve with HikaShop is an online ordering system for these manuals. The manuals can be ordered as a single copy, a quantity of 25 or a sample of the actual product can be ordered. There is no charge for the ordering of the manuals or product sample. Once the order is completed and emailed it is then printed and mailed to the customer, there is nothing to download.

I have setup within HikaShop each manual (product) with three characteristics, Single copy, 25 copies, Product sample.

On the page above you can scroll down to where I have added the product to the article page. However it is currently just showing 'Choose options' that links to the product page.

The way I would like it to appear is for a module to be visible on the page that contains the Characteristic select options and an add to cart button. Once in the cart the process does not need a payment stage, can thes be removed?

There is no option to add the characteristic selection on a product listing content module/menu, so the only solution will be to directly customize the files of the "product" view via "Hikashop->Display->Views".
