To everybody working with multilingual content:

What is nowadays (April 2015) extension to work multilingual content with HikaSHop?

What is your experience good and bad?

I used Falang for long and it works, but looks so clunky andis far from being ideal (using 1.4.4). Nowadays I have to upgrade to 2.0 to work with Joomla 3.4 but before doing so I would like to consider other extensions if there is anyone better.

HikaShop team your opinion will be appreciated too.

I have just upgraded the falang to version 2.0 and it does not work in my case with hikashop. All translations are not visible only the text of the default language. Im also looking for a better alternative.

Maybe a sugetion for the developers to make Hikashop multi language per default. Special for Hikashop i have to use falang. For the rest i can bypass this to use the default joomla multi language options

Thanks for your feedback. Please return here both if you are able to fix your actual problem or if you find an alternative.

I was told by the Faboboa support that they know of no problem with the upgrade to 2.0 and the newest versions of Joomla and HikaShop.

I still have to make the try in my built from scratch site so it will not be the same as updating an already populated site.

I gound that the guys making templates at Joomlaman.com use in their demo package for the template Creatrix the Josetta component, but in the JED there are almost no comments on this extensions and now it has been for a while in the market... so I don't know what to think about this.

Hi,

Falang works fine with HikaShop. We have been using it on our demo website for a long time. It's not perfect, and we would like to have such function by default in HikaShop (it's on our todo list), but it's the best solution for multilingual for now.

@air-diensten: I would recommend that you contact their support. They should be able to help you figure out what's going on.
