Cannot save configuration, back to homepage

Hi,

I seen that issue once ; when the server have some "content" limitation on the "post" size or on the number of "post fields".
In such condition, the form is not fully submitted and some elements (which are at the end of the form) are not send ; it results that the configuration is not saved and if there is no joomla parameters (option, ctrl, task), the homepage will be displayed instead.

If you have access to the server configuration, you'll need to check the settings of the security modules you installed for your PHP like mod_security or SuHoSin.
If not, you need to talk to your hosting company.
The exact name of the setting to be changed will depend on the security system used and how it's configured, so we can answer precisely. As Jerome said, it must be linked to the "post" limitations.
