-- HikaShop version -- : HikaShop Business 2.6.3 [1605112330]
-- Joomla version -- : 3.6.4
-- PHP version -- : 5.6.18
-- Browser(s) name and version -- : Safari 10

Hi

I have a simple cart and a full cart on the page. Hikashop is configured to start on the same page when an item is added.

When a produce is added to the cart, the mini cart and the full cart do not always update. e.g. the added product does not show.

Also if you are adding a colour or size other than the default colour and size, the page reverts to showing the default values instead of keeping the ones just added.

Hi,

If you have two cart modules on the page and the "Use AJAX when possible for add to cart buttons" setting activated, then only the first one will refreshif the AJAX system is used.

Next version of HikaShop will have a new cart system which will be able to handle several cart modules refresh in ajax and an ajax system which can work in any case. But for now, there is no easy solution.

With the option turned off, both cart modules should always refresh.

Regarding the default values, it's the other way around. With the ajax option turned on, the add to cart is done without a page refresh and thus you keep the selected options after the add to cart. But with the ajax option turned off, the whole page is refreshed and thus you get back the default options after the add to cart. There is no easy solution either with the current version of HikaShop I'm afraid.

Thanks for the reply Nicolas,

I have experimented based on what you said and what I get does not match your description.

I removed one of the carts so that there is only ONE cart and the "Use AJAX when possible for add to cart buttons" if OFF (in fact it was off already).

Based on what you said, I should get the cart refreshing, but unless I go to the cart page, which I do not want to do, the cart does not refresh.

Any advice?

Hi,

I tested on a few products on your website but couldn't reproduce the problem. The cart was refreshed each time.
Could you provide some precise instructions to reproduce the problem ?
It's probably linked to some caching if the cart module is not refreshed.

Thanks Nicolas

If you add a product. Then staying on the same product and add the product again.. two products are added to the cart, but the cart in the page ... at the top in a slider, only shows one product. You have to go to another page/product to see that two have been added. Add another product, go back to the first product, the new product is not there. The cart seems to be showing the cached version of the page and never refreshing unless you are in a new page.

Hi,

Yes, as you say, this looks like a caching issue with the cart module you're using.
If the cart module has a cache option, make sure that it is turned off.
Also check that the cache setting of the Joomla configuration is turned off and that the system cache plugin is unpublished in the Joomla plugins manager.
And if you have some other third party caching system, it's probably linked to that.
