Hi,

Although I know how to make Product Category ACL un editable, how do I make it so that if someone is selling a car for example, they can not select category for selling car parts.

My long term goal is that they have to pay separate for car sale then car parts for sale. But whichever they choose they can not change to a different category.

So if they choose to purchase car for sale, they default car for sale category.

Hello,

You have to remove the "product / edit / category" ACL so your vendors won't be able to edit the product category.

If I allow auto register and want to make it so that a vendor has to purchase an ad, but I have many categories at different prices from free to cost, how do I do it if they can not edit category.

Example I would have different categories for the vendor to purchase to list their ad in:

Shirts For Sale $25

Dealers $50

Shirts Wanted Free

Shirt Supplies $15

In additional words, to be able to have multiple groups after registration so that like Vendor A paid for Shirts for sale listing but can not list in dealers unless they are given access to other. Or Vendor B can do Shirts Supplies, but did not pay for Shirts for sale so can not list there.

Hello,

I don't understand what you want to do but please keep in mind that you have settings for categories in HikaMarket ; including "extra categories" settings that you can override per vendor.

I hope this gives better understanding. I would like vendor groups based on purchase and/or selection.

Hello,

The "extra category" setting is available via the HikaMarket configuration and can be override per vendor.
That specific setting is not available in the "HikaMarket > Access > Options" but it could be an interesting improvement.
Regarding your schema, it looks like it is what you're asking, since you want to authorize categories depending the vendor groups (thanks to a "vendor group after purchase" plugin or a Subscription component).

Right now, I would recommend you to configure the category settings and set the override manually per vendor.
If the set-up suits your needs, then it would be possible to think about an implementation of the feature in HikaMarket or via a custom plugin (attached to the subscription system you're using).

Thank you.

I have confusion. How does the "vendor group after purchase" plugin work? I saw that I have the plug in active but dont understand how it works and how to set it up.

Also is there a Subscription component you are meaning that I can use?

Is the image I show the part you are referring to as Vendor Group After Purchase?

Hello,

Yes the plugin "vendor group after purchase" is working if the plugin is published. Your screenshot is about the HikaShop plugin "user group after purchase" which is something similar but different.
You need to check that the plugin is right installed and published.
Once the plugin enable, you will have that section in the backend product edition: pasteboard.co/Ik2B42y.png

I have the vendor user group and vendor user group after purchase enabled. I see it is in the actual uploaded product.

What notifies or alerts me as admin that the vendors new product needs me to approve it and set the group permission?

What subscription service do you recommend that works well with what I am trying to do and your system?

Hello,

It's the "use product approvals" option :
www.hikashop.com/support/documentation/1...tml#config_main_main

The "vendor user group after purchase" allow to set a group to the vendor when the "owner" of a vendor buy a specific product.
"Vendor user group" is more on the link between a user and its vendor to add/remove the same groups when the user is modified.

Regarding the subscription, it's up to you. You just need to have the feature to modify the user groups using the Joomla core so HikaMarket will be able to get the trigger and do its stuff regarding the vendor.
There is HikaSerial Subscription but it's not the only subscription component for Joomla which is compatible with HikaShop (and HIkaMarket) www.hikashop.com/support/documentation.html (under Integration tile)
